Potential Songs

We came across Zara on youtube and we thoroughly looked through all of her songs, which we found her song 'Uncover'. We was very hooked to the song, however the music didn't really change and had the same flow throughout it. Because of the way the music doesn't change its pace, we thought hard about how we could add in some fast pace shots to make our music video look more effective. 



We then come across this song which starts off slow then speeds up which was what we was looking for as it will look more effective overall. It dragged us in more when we thought about what it could be about and how we could edit this to how we wanted. It met all of our aims of this project in which we decided to use this song instead of the other. 

 

Looking For An Artist

This is the journey of how I found the artist that I would like to use for my final music video. First of all I started off by looking at some popular websites such as Unsigned.com, however, i found this website really hard to navigate and find the kind of artist i was looking for. I then tried to find artists that have been on popular shows such as X Factor and Britain's Got Talent that may not have got through to the final, but are good and are not signed. We then searched 'unsigned artists' in youtube and looked up to 10 pages. I came across a girl called Hope Murphy, her tracks were very good, but the music did not speed up as much as I would have liked to. I wanted the speed of music to change a lot so I can capture many shots. I then saw on the suggestion list at the side a girl called Zara Larsson who was on a singing show in Sweden, who got very far however didn't make it. She has just been signed by a record company in 2013, however we will ask for permission before decide to definitely use one of her songs. We found a song called 'Uncover' which we liked very much in which we asked her management for permission to use one of her songs for our media project, in which they seemed keen on thereby asking for further details of our project. As time went on, we thought about how our clips could speed up a bit due to the slow music. We carried on looking at the artists and we finally found a track of hers that really kicked in and sounded very good, we decided together that we are going to use this track.
